Eligibility criteria for initial board certification in pediatric endocrinology, as set forth by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP), include completion of three years of training in a full-time, broad-based fellowship program accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) in the United States or by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons in Canada.
For maintenance of certification by the ABP, PES offers assistance with attaining Self-Assessment (Part 2) criteria at our national meeting every year and with Quality Improvement (Part 4) activities through the offering of approved modules. We also provide other resources for both initial and maintenance of certification in the form of test dates, general content, links to relevant educational materials, and offering of live review courses every other year prior to the exam offerings.
