PedsENDO Discovery Program

The PedsENDO Discovery Program launched in 2019 as part of a multi-pronged approach to address workforce shortage in pediatric endocrinology.


Medical students, first and second year residents​ interest​ed in ​pursuing a possible career in Pediatric endocrinology will be nominated ​to attend the 2026 PES Annual Meeting. This year, we are excited to ​be able to fund 60 applicants!

Program Overview:

  • Participants will receive complimentary registration and a $1,200 USD grant to offset their cost of travel and lodging for the PES 2026 Annual Meeting in San Francisco from April 30 - May 3.
  • Participants will be introduced during the meeting to PES leadership, including members of the PES Education Subcommittee to learn more about choosing a career in pediatric endocrinology.
  • Participants will be expected to participate fully in the conference and attend PES sessions, and attend all sessions for the Discovery program in order to receive funding.
    • Discovery Sessions will be held (with times to be confirmed):
      • Thursday, April 30
      • Friday, May 1
      • Saturday, May 2
  • After the meeting, each student is required to provide feedback. Feedback will include a short survey and a brief paragraph describing their experience.

Criteria for Nomination:

  • The program is open to ​all medical students, first and second year residents.
