PedsENDO Discovery Program

The PedsENDO Discovery Program launched in 2019 as part of a multi-pronged approach to address workforce shortage in pediatric endocrinology.

Medical students and first and second year residents​ interest​ed in ​pursuing a possible career in Pediatric endocrinology were nominated ​to attend the 2024 PES Annual Meeting. This year, we are excited to ​be able to fund 60 medical students to attend the ​meeting!

Program Overview:

  • Participants will receive complimentary registration and a $1,000 USD grant to offset their cost of travel and lodging for the PES 2024 Annual Meeting in Chicago from May 2-5.
  • Participants will be introduced during the meeting to PES leadership including members of the PES Education Subcommittee to learn more about choosing a career in pediatric endocrinology.
  • Participants will be expected to participate fully in the conference and attend PES sessions.
  • After the meeting, each student will be required to provide feedback. Feedback will include a short survey and a brief paragraph describing their experience.

Criteria for Nomination:

  • The program is open to ​all medical students and first and second year residents.
