The PedsENDO Discovery Program launched in 2019 as part of a multi-pronged approach to address workforce shortage in pediatric endocrinology.

Medical students, first and second year residents interested in pursuing a possible career in Pediatric endocrinology will be nominated to attend the 2025 PES Annual Meeting. This year, we are excited to be able to fund 60 medical students to attend the meeting!

Program Overview:

  • Participants will receive complimentary registration and a $1,200 USD grant to offset their cost of travel and lodging for the PES 2025 Annual Meeting in Maryland from May 15-18.
  • Participants will be introduced during the meeting to PES leadership including members of the PES Education Subcommittee to learn more about choosing a career in pediatric endocrinology.
  • Participants will be expected to participate fully in the conference and attend PES sessions, and attend all sessions for the Discovery program in order to receive funding.
  • After the meeting, each student will be required to provide feedback. Feedback will include a short survey and a brief paragraph describing their experience.

Criteria for Nomination:

  • The program is open to all medical students, first and second year residents.
