Michaela Kohler, MPAS, PA-C
Michaela is a Physician Assistant at Children’s Nebraska in Omaha, NE. She specializes in pediatric endocrinology and metabolic bone care. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Kansas State University and her master’s degree from Oklahoma City University.
Michaela is deeply committed to supporting children and their families, especially those impacted by Type 1 Diabetes. Her dedication stems from her personal experience with the disease, which she was diagnosed with in college.
In addition to working in the Endocrinology Clinic, Michaela serves as the primary endocrinology provider in several multidisciplinary clinics at Children’s Nebraska including the Osteogenesis Imperfecta Clinic, Cystic Fibrosis Clinic, Complex Care Clinic, and Neuromuscular Clinic. Michaela enjoys exploring new research opportunities and is currently a co-investigator for the ORBIT setrusumab clinical trial, which aims to improve bone formation and density in pediatric patients with Osteogenesis Imperfecta.
Michaela is an active member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, Nebraska Academy of Physician Assistants, and PES APP Special Interest Group. In her spare time, she enjoys rooting for her favorite sports teams, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
