Erica Cordell, MSN, CRNP
Erica Cordell is a nurse practitioner in the Division of Endocrinology and Diabetes at the University of Pittsburg Medical Center Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Pittsburgh and has been with UPMC since 2004. As a student nurse Erica was assigned to work on the diabetes unit, where learned about diabetes and endocrinology. She developed a passion for caring for kids with diabetes and endocrine disorders. She later joined the Division of Endocrinology and Diabetes as a nurse practitioner. Erica now serves as the Associate Director of the Pediatric Endocrinology/Diabetes Advance Practice Provider Education Program at UPMC Children’s. She treats children with a variety of endocrine conditions and specializing in the care of children with type 1 diabetes. Erica is a member of the National Association of Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and the Pediatric Endocrine Society.
