Diana Mysliwiec, PA-C, earned her bachelor’s degree in Biobehavioral Health from the Pennsylvania State University in 2007 and her Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Chatham University in 2009. Her first job as a PA was with Small Bowel and Multivisceral Transplant patients at UPMC Montefiore Hospital. In January 2011, she found her true passion working at the UPMC Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh Division of Endocrinology & Diabetes, where she has remained for over 10 years. Diana has experience as a physician assistant in management of pediatric diabetes and other endocrine disorders. She has a particular interest in patient education and became a certified diabetes care and education specialist in 2018. Ms. Mysliwiec was promoted to Supervisor of the APPs in the Division in 2019 and has enjoyed the challenges and triumphs of acting as a liaison for and coordinating and overseeing the functions of the APPs in the Division. Diana assisted in the development and implementation of the division’s APP Fellowship curriculum. She is currently a member of the PES Advanced Practice Providers Special Interest Group with goals to begin designing a framework for onboarding new Pediatric Endocrine APPs across institutions.
