Talia Papiro, PharmD, BCPPS
Talia is a clinical pharmacy specialist in pediatric endocrinology at Yale New Haven Hospital. Talia earned her undergraduate and graduate degrees at the University of Connecticut. She completed post-graduate residency training at Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital (PGY-1) and Yale New Haven Children’s Hospital (PGY-2) and subsequently obtained board certification in pediatric pharmacotherapy. Within the Children’s Hospital, Talia has championed several practice advancement initiatives that prioritize high-quality patient care through the expansion of clinical pharmacist services. She is currently practicing under a Collaborative Drug Therapy Management (CDTM) agreement to provide medication management to children receiving therapy with growth hormone. Talia has a passion for teaching, providing education to patients and families and the medical team alike. In addition to providing clinical care, she is a strong advocate for patient safety and affordable access to care and helps patients and families navigate medication access issues to optimize adherence. Her current clinical interests include adherence throughout transitions of care in the adolescent population and impact of once weekly growth hormone therapy on quality of life, patient safety and clinical outcomes. She is a member of the Pediatric Pharmacy Association and Pediatric Endocrine Society and is a certified Well-Being Ambassador through the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists. Outside of the hospital, Talia may be found perusing bookstores and coffee shops or her local yoga studio.
