Sarah Kelly DNP, APRN, NP-C
Dr. Kelly is working her dream job! Living with type 1 diabetes since childhood, she always hoped to one day work with children with diabetes. Now, she works at Baylor College of Medicine’s Pediatric Diabetes and Endocrinology Division. Dr. Kelly splits her time between outpatient and inpatient diabetes care at Texas Children’s Hospital. She also serves on several Diabetes Care Process QI Teams and is actively involved in diabetes care improvement initiatives. Currently, she is serving on the workgroup developing evidence-based guidelines for managing diabetes in preschoolers. Her outpatient practice focuses on caring for children with type 1 or type 2 diabetes, as well as monogenic and atypical diabetes. When working on the inpatient service, Dr. Kelly oversees new onset pediatric diabetes patients and their families and DKA admissions and will consult on the management of pediatric patients with Cystic Fibrosis related diabetes and steroid-induced hyperglycemia. Dr. Kelly is an active member of the Pediatric Endocrine Society’s Advanced Practice Providers special interest group.
