Fellowship Opportunity in Pediatric Endocrinology
We have an unexpected vacancy for a second-year pediatric endocrinology position but are amenable to other possibilities such as a “superfellow,” graduate wanting to get some additional training or first-year fellow.
The fellowship in Pediatric Endocrinology at Cohen Children’s Medical Center is a long-standing and fully accredited three-year program approved by the ACGME. The physicians in the Division of Pediatric Endocrinology performed over 12,000 outpatient consultations, ~300 inpatient visits, and more than 200 diagnostic endocrine tests yearly. The faculty consists of ten board-certified pediatric endocrinologists, four diabetes nurse educators, procedure nurse, nurse practitioner, clinical research coordinator, two nutritionists, social worker, office manager/administrator, and five medical secretaries. We are a designated site for the NY State Adrenal and Thyroid Newborn Screening Programs, and a CARES Foundation Comprehensive Center for Care of Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia.
The Cohen Children’s fellowship training program in pediatric endocrinology has trained numerous doctors who are presently in practice or in academic positions. This program combines a broad inpatient and outpatient clinical experience, as well as opportunities for both clinical and laboratory research.
