Description: Type 1 diabetes is one of the most common chronic diseases of childhood. Previous research has demonstrated that children with type 1 diabetes suffer from low bone mineral density. This talk will shed light on new knowledge in regards to the bone health of children living with type 1 diabetes

- To describe the biomechanical underpinnings of fracture risk in type 1 diabetes
- To evaluate potential pathophysiologic mechanisms leading to fracture risk in type 1 diabetes.
