Kyowa

About Us:

At Kyowa Kirin, patients are at the center of everything we do. We are a global specialty pharmaceutical company dedicated to discovering and advancing innovative medicines for rare and hard-to-treat diseases where the need remains greatest. Based in Japan with worldwide operations, Kyowa Kirin works across the continuum—from drug discovery to commercialization—guided by a deep commitment to patients and their families.

Our research teams, located in California and around the world, are focused on engineering the next generation of antibody, cell, and gene therapies, with particular emphasis on bone and mineral disorders, hemato-oncology, and rare diseases. Since 2018, we have introduced four new therapies, serving patients with progressive illnesses often in need of new therapeutic alternatives.

Backed by more than 150 years of innovation and 70 years of leadership in the life sciences, Kyowa Kirin is rooted in a culture of collaboration. We accelerate development by partnering with industry, academia, patients, and healthcare providers to translate scientific advances into meaningful outcomes. Across our global organization, teams are united by shared values, a commitment to sustainable growth, and a common purpose: turning science into smiles for patients, families, and communities.
