Research Grant Program for Fellows
The purpose of this small grant is to support and encourage research efforts of fellows. The maximum amount of funding available for each of these grants is $2500 for one year. The Raphael David, MD Rising Star Grant, will be given preferentially to an application related to the developmental biology of the testes or adrenal gland. There will only be one round of applications per year. The Raphael David Rising Star program is in addition to the already established and larger Research Fellowship Grant (RFG) program.
Eligibility
Fellows/In-Training members who are PES members in good standing and who are in an approved training program in Pediatric Endocrinology are eligible for the Rising Star Grant. U.S. citizenship or green card status is NOT required. Those with career plans in North America are favored.
A candidate may apply for support if they:
- Has an MD, DO or equivalent degree.
- Has more than 6 months of fellowship training remaining at the time of the application deadline.
- Candidates on K grants (individual or institutional), those who have received a PES Research Fellowship Grant, and prior recipients of the RSG are NOT eligible for the grant.
- The competition is open to fellows on an institutional T32 grant.
- Multiple applications from one institution may be submitted.
Funding Start Date
November 1, 2024
Please note: Indirect costs are not allowed and the monies cannot be used for salary support of the fellow.
